Second Field Force, Vietnam

The 552nd arrived in Vietnam after a 23 day voyage in the U.S.S. Simon Bucker, a converted cruise ship that was built toward the end of world war 2 but never was used in support. of the war.  The unit served as the military police company for the Second Field Force corps headquarters.  As part of their mission they supported the corps divisions during combat operations.  This was in addition to provide entry control of the corps headquarters.
